MAGNETIC NORTH

Where the Energy pulls

(I so adore and respect this younger version of myself! What all she/me/we/I have survived and the ways we’ve grown are incredible.)

I was reading yesterday that magnetic North has shifted and the rate it is shifting is accelerating. I’m not a scientist however the concept appeals and it got me thinking about my own life…

My life, these past years, has been doing a lot of shifting too.

North and Magnetic North are several degrees off and magnetic north it turns out is more fluid than I was ever taught in school. I see my moral compass as being aligned with true north (I try to be a “good” humanity centered human). My goals and desires are more fluid, like magnetic North.

Magnetic North, for me, is energetically aligned with what makes me feel happy – groovy.

What makes me feel happy may shift somewhat from time to time and especially over time. And that’s the groovy thing about a fluctuating magnetic North.

It’s a powerful energetic field that can guide anyone; and in a way they choose to dial it in. Everyone can hook into the vibrational frequency of their own magnetic North to pull them forward.

I began this blog several years ago when my concepts about “groovy” and “happy” were in a different place than they are now. And I was in a significantly less than groovy place to be – like way off my mark.

Thankfully, I shifted.

Everybody shifts.

I’ve taken down the posts from the past as they were like dream boards for then or books I’ve read and can pass on, or just crappy – clearing the clutter and making way for the newly possible.

I have different and bigger dreams!

Also there was a huge gap from where I was to where I am now.

At the time, it was a terrible place to be and I will likely write about the transformations at some point. I may even share parts of those former posts as they measure the change. I tend to over-share. Be warned!

The point is, like magnetic North – I’ve shifted.

As much as we humans shift and change, you’d think it’d be easy peasy but for many of us – whap – something will trip us up… for me it’s usually my own self. Like missing the curb at In-N-Out a couple weeks ago and falling in a fantastically spastic way that had strangers jumping up to help and my son mortified and scared.

The thing is, now that I’ve fallen, dusted myself off, regained my bearings (keeping in mind they shifted!) as I look around I see quite a number of us with red-stained humble and a bit humiliated cheeks.

Being human has its cheekiness.

There’s a lot of “perfect” blogs and stories out in this virtual social world. This blog isn’t one of those. I’m a tree-hugging, chaotic, crazy, hippie (who doesn’t do drugs), free-spirit with ADH (squirrel), Autism… I cuss, drink coffee, write, erase, and dream some more. I follow the moon and whoo-whoo, and believe in Possibilities, Magic, Goddess and Spiritual Groovy Vibrations.

If any of that offends you then you’ve come to the wrong blog.

I’m going to (over) share my journey and grandiose dreams headed from middle age into older through these upcoming chapters. When I began this website so many years ago, I had great plans to “age gracefully”, however Goddess cleverly reminded me, “That ain’t you Sweetie!”

Welcome to Groovy Happy You!

Groovy Happy You is a documentation, a story of my journey towards my magnetic North and the interesting people I meet along the way, the flights and falls and twists and turns and adjustments.

I hope you stick around… I hope you share some of your own stories over on Facebook (comments are turned off here) and perhaps I will eventually figure out some other social medias like YouTube and Pinterest. Do not look for me on Twitter – it overwhelms me and for that reason I don’t like it.  Besides, I don’t need the negativity of only 140 characters.

At full disclosure, there are a lot of tech-stuff I am wanting to learn so I can participate in this new frontier of global humanness. Please bear with me. I’m on a life-long journey. And if you stick around, we’ll share in it. I hope you do!

Life is Groovy!

Bright Blessings for Peace, Love and Silliness,

Carol

Thank you for reading this older post – I hesitated including these and I flipped and flopped and overthought and then decided it would be worth including these as they may be useful to someone else on their own journey.

They not so elegantly document the messiness – and therein lies the beauty and purpose.
